About the Event
An increasingly affluent population, ongoing financial reform, and an exciting range of New Economy companies, all make China too big to ignore for the global financial industry. Hong Kong is the financial super-connector that links Mainland China with the rest of the world. The city is not only an important capital raising venue for Chinese companies. With more than 1100 companies listed on the local stock exchange, it is also home to mutual channels that provide a unique route into onshore Chinese markets – namely, Stock Connect, Bond and Swap Connect, with more to come.
We would like to invite you to join an interactive dialogue led by Dr. King Au, Executive Director, Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) Hong Kong to discuss the Trends and Opportunities in Hong Kong Financial Industry. It is also our pleasure to have Mr. Christopher Hui, Hong Kong’s Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury who will deliver a welcome remark virtually to share Hong Kong’s latest development as an International Finance Centre. The roundtable will also cover its role in the Greater Bay Area, as well as its opportunities in Asset and Wealth Management, ESG and FinTech.
The event is co-organized with HKETO New York and Invest Hong Kong. This closed-door roundtable is by invitation only under Chatham House Rules. If you haven't received the invitation but are interested in joining us, please do not hesitate RSVP first. We will confirm your registration via a follow up email.Â
The FSDC was established in 2013 by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government as a high-level, cross-sectoral advisory body to engage the industry in formulating proposals to promote the further development of financial services industry of Hong Kong and to map out the strategic direction for the development. Â
