HKANY was invited to the Lunch Reception with Hong Kong Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare held yesterday at the HK Office Building. Mr Caspar Tsui, the Vice-Minister responsible for labour and welfare matters including women empowerment, is in town for the UN Commission on the Status of Women meetings. It's our pleasure to meet him in person and get the updates about Hong Kong's latest developments and efforts of Hong Kong on women empowerment.
Besides women in business, a group of secondary school girls from Hong Kong were here with us. They are on the delegation to give a presentation at a UN event this Friday. We wish them a very pleasant stay in NYC!

Side-note from the Editor: this is the first time I've seen so many female attendees - way more than men. When will it be the time at which there is no need for such observation?
